Carson attended Brooklyn Technical High School where his big picture visions and sprawling events began. He proposed the use of the then city's third largest auditorium for a two week long Battle of the Bands event. He was granted free use of the auditorium and marketed and promoted the event to attract several hundred attendees.
He successfully graduated with a diploma in electrical engineering and electronics although later in university he graduated with degrees in Psychology, Anthropology, and a post graduate certificate in Corporate Law and Research. At Stony Brook University, Carson's passion for contributing to the merrriment and jaw dropping experiences of the public he serves through his events grounded on his visionary understanding and grasp of how to create bigger than life events and festivals have resulted in several legacies he left for future generations to enjoy; including his first large scale music and cultural festival that attracted 30,000 attendees.
Concert and speaker events he has worked with include artist such as: Loreena McKennitt, Santana, U2, Allman Brothers, Anthony Hamilton, Pretenders, James Taylor, Southside Johnny, Tubes, Dizzy Gillespie, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Cindy Lauper, Al DiMeola, Lene Lovich, The Go Go's, John Prine; Gene Roddenberry, Richard Lui, Rodney Dangerfield, John Waters, Abby Hoffman, G. Gordon Liddy, Timothy Leary, and many more.
Carson attended post graduate studies at Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. It came a few years after graduating StonyBrook University. At Adelphi, he successfully graduated with specialization in legal agreements, drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, filings, regulatory filings, corporate best business practices and compliance, risk management, negotiations, and research.
He was also at the helm of co-creating one of the most followed and respected Science Fiction, Fact and Fantasy Conventions in America (it continued for over 35 years). This was the chevron of his thinking that led to his co-creation of I-CON, a landmark Convention.
Much of the success of Carson's events involve complex moving parts and a who's who of clients/stakeholders. Working with committees and a endless list of departments at corporations has been right up his alley as he has become known as a "connector" and great communnicator. It can be best said it is Carson's command of project management skills, making a connection with people, seeing the big picture, understand and plying strategy, understanding risk management, and advancing culture driven events while keeping an eye on the bouncing ball that has led to a countless list of event successes.
Managing events from meetings, conferences, retreats, tradshows, expos, and more for top executives, non-profits, and consumers was a springboard for Carson to maximizing results on closed door events, MICE, and SMERFS.
Carson completed the Dale Carnegie's Sale Advantage Program (a six week full time program). He dedicated himself to an extensive six-month docent volunteer training at the American Museum of Natural History and is now versed in the museum's 45 permanent halls across 21 interconnected buildings. Carson also landed a paid long term gig working with the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall, and a contract part time position at the Brooklyn Center for Urban Environment (environmental field education non-profit conducting field workshops and instruction to both educators and their students throughout the five boros of NYC). He's not a big Rolling Stones fan but he does believe a rolling stone gathers no moss.
Carson developed multiple websites based on Joomla, Wordpress, and Drupal CMS platforms that have ranked #1 on Google with organic search results populating in six instances on the first page - all unpaid. He has ideated and created event marketing for SaaS campaign titled the ABC's of ASP's while being employed at a Swiss ASP. With his tech knowledge and background he was able to land multi year contracts developing and managing registration for the Macy's July 4th Fireworks (Roosevelt Island).
Involved personal empowerment he built several communities with thousands of followers who attended his workshops, retreats, and events based on human potential, natural holistic health, mindfulness, metaphysics, entrepreneurship, and outdoor adventure.
In 2018 Carson received three certifications from the City of New York and the State of New York: NYC MBE Certification, NYS MBE Certification, and MBE Certification from The Port Authority of NY and NJ. These certifications took approximately five months to apply for and were awarded. Since then he has received multiple contracts from the Mayor's Office of the City of New York, the State of New York including the Hudson River Park Trust, and Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation. He also received a forth certification from the City of New York as an Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE).
